Our Story

In 1966 Robert Benoure, Sr. founded Benoure Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, a small, family-run mechanical contracting business serving the greater Burlington area. With a dedication to hard work and a strong commitment to quality, Robert built a reputation for reliability and service that would lay the foundation for what Benoure is today.

As the years passed, Robert’s four sons took over the family business, carrying forward their father’s values and vision. Their leadership and dedication helped grow Benoure into one of Vermont's leading mechanical contractors, earning the trust of countless customers across the state.

But the story didn’t stop there. In June 2022, we expanded our horizons with the addition of a custom sheet metal fabrication shop. This new venture allowed us to offer more specialized services, tailoring solutions to our customers' unique needs while improving turnaround times and overall service flexibility. It was a pivotal moment in our journey, pushing us to keep evolving and innovating.

Then, in 2024, another milestone was reached: Benoure became 100% employee-owned. This was more than just a transition – it was a commitment to our team. With the help of Empowered Ventures, we empowered every member of our team to become an owner, reinforcing a culture of shared responsibility and success. Now, everyone at Benoure has a stake in our future, and with that comes a renewed passion for service excellence and innovation.

Today, Benoure is still grounded in the values of trust, reliability, and professionalism that have defined us for generations.
